Accessibility statement for Applying for and Accepting a Refugee Integration Loan

This accessibility statement applies to the 'Apply for a refugee integration loan' and 'Accepting your integration loan' services. It does not cover related pages on the www.gov.uk website, which has its own accessibility statement.

This website is run by the Home Office. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We have also made the website text as simple as possible to understand. AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible Content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

We are aware of and working to address the following issues. We will update this statement with timelines about when we will resolve them a month after this statement’s publication date.

On the 'Have you ever been convicted of a crime in the UK' page and the 'You and your partner's combined monthly income' page on some form elements, an aria-labelledby or aria-describedby reference exists but the target for the reference does not exist. Screen readers will not pick up on the relationship between the words and the input and so may progress without completing the action. This does not meet WCAG 1.3.1 Info and relationships and WCAG 4.1.2 Name, role, value standards and guidelines.

On the 'How would you like us to contact you' page on several form elements an aria attribute has been allowed where it should not be allowed. This could mean hidden reveals within form elements are missed by screen readers. This does not meet the WCAG 4.1.2 Name, role, value standards and guidelines.

If you find an issue that we have yet to identify, please contact us using one of the routes described in the ‘Reporting accessibility problems with this website’ section of this statement.

Disproportionate burden

At this time, we have not made any disproportionate burden claims.

Content that's not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

At this time, this service does not contain any content that is exempt from the regulations.
